Entering / Rescheduling Fixtures:
When fixtures have been made before the commencement of the season the home team should enter the match date and time on the Planner. Similarly, home team captains should reschedule any re-arranged matches on the Planner once confirmation has been agreed with the opposition captain. Select the match in question and use the “Reschedule match” tab and enter date (new date) and time then Save.
Pre-loading Teams:
Once the planner has gone ‘live’ for the season. From the ‘home’ page select the ‘teams’ tab. Select (event) and then your team and then from this screen the ‘players’ tab. Click ‘add players’ and enter letters in the filter box as instructed. A swirly icon will appear and eventually players’ names will appear from which you can select and save.
Results Reporting:
Use only ‘Enter Rubber Results’, NOT ‘Enter Match Result’.
Unfinished matches:
When entering the interim score of an unfinished match, enter completed sets only and use 'not played match abandoned’ (this will allow the completed sets to be added to the league standings). Use the comments box to enter status of unfinished rubbers. Enter the final result online when the match is completed.
Players’ names:
If a player is not yet present in the selection list for the team, try and add the player to the team by clicking on the ‘add player’ function which allows access to the Place to Play’s database. If the player is registered with British Tennis and linked to team’s venue the name will appear when typed into the filter box. If it is not possible to add the player, use the ‘unknown player’ option when entering the rubber result which allows completion of the match score online. If the ‘unknown player’ option is used, then details of the unknown player name, and BTM number if known, should be recorded using the ‘Add Comment’ button. Note that once a match has been ‘saved’ it will not be possible to amend the details, and if adjustments are required the League Results Manager must be contacted.
Confirmation of results:
The Home Team captain is to provide a results sheet, retain the signed original until the end of the season, and submit the scores online. The Away Team captain must check results including player names and activate the ‘Confirm’ button, unless the match was unfinished (using ‘Confirm’ at this point prevents the Home team entering the final scores).
End of Season Check:
The last date to check all results and resolve queries is 10th September (Summer season) and 10th March (Winter season).
