18U Boys County Cup Report

We are very proud of the U18’s Boys’ team who competed in a tough group at Oxstalls.

The work rate, competitive spirit, team support and friendships were clear to see, and the boys were fantastic ambassadors for Gloucestershire Tennis.

Each day they had highly competitive matches, on the opening day they were beaten 5-4 by Durham & Cleveland but had opportunities in three of the matches which went down to the final set. Day two saw a similar situation, again the boys had opportunities before succumbing 6-3 to Leicestershire (the eventual champions).

The final day again was a highly competitive affair with the boys, after a long days’ tennis, eventually falling 6-3 to Staffordshire. With an element of good
fortune all of the matches could have resulted in wins for the team.

Well done to Ollie H, Joseph, Zechariah, Oskar, Ethan, Aiden, Romeo and injured Ollie R (who came to support)!
