Gloucestershire Summer League - Men's & Ladies' Doubles
Each division normally has 7 teams of 2 pairs, which gives each team 6 home and 6 away matches. Play usually starts early evening on weekdays. Each season, divisional winners and losers are promoted and relegated in accordance with the rules.
Each division (other than the Premier, and perhaps the bottom division) has ‘A’ and ‘B’ groups of equal status; this format allows a new team, starting at the bottom, a chance to progress up the league relatively quickly, provided that they are good enough of course!
